Computer hackers typically limit themselves to gathering information for profit such as social security numbers, credit cards, and bank information. I have never heard of a case where the hackers attempted malice rather than money.
Hackers recently attacked the Epilepsy Foundation’s Web site. The plan was to flood the web site with hundreds of pictures and links that would rapidly flash – thereby triggering severe migraines or seizures among the users. It is amazing to me someone would be so dim-witted and thoughtless.
The sad part was it actually worked and caused numerous users of the site medical problems.
My solution? Catch the guys that did it and throw them on a never-ending laser (and singing) rendition of It’s a Small World.
Live Lasers, Non-Stop Singing…
Sick. The hackers should be shot.
CindyLu..you’re being WAY too nice. I have a few other ideas for those guys that the U.N. and the rest of the world would demonize me for. Dealing with those that operate inhumanely should receive equal or greater punishment! Waterboarding would seem like a visit to Club Med.
I don’t know Mike, having actually been stuck on It’s a Small World for 30 minutes (it took them 20 to finally turn off the music), I may go with the waterboarding…
I didn’t say what caliber gun – it could take a really long time.
I hate spammers and hackers and the thoughts I have about them would make the CIA torture look like child’s play…..but THIS goes tooooo far! I’ll have to give this one some thought and come up with a really slow, devious plan for them to pay.
