Oh Rachel, that ended up being a big misunderstanding. Once we changed to the new government issued thermometers the temperature was always the same going forward – no matter where you lived (despite how it “felt”).

Jim, they speak English in DR?

Interesting then that the people from DR who live in Manhattan’s northern tip in their own little DR/American community don’t.

I couldn’t shop in most of the shops in my neighborhood since no one, not even the owners spoke English. It was frustrating indeed.

The handwriting is on the wall already and it looks like you’re uncovering it before many have even known where to look for it.
I’m thinking the Dominican Republic is looking better everyday. Plenty of Rum, Great Cigars, Beautiful Beaches, Crystal Blue Water and lots of Sunshine. (plus they speak English there)

Great Job Godfather, however you failed to mention more of the socialist government and us modeling ourselves after the wonderful european union. I hope we have an exit strategy by then.
