It is Girl Scout Cookie Season!

As the last of the thin mints disappear from my post apocalyptic Thin Mint reserve (my freezer) I have to wonder, “how many should I order?”

First off, everyone knows three things about Thin Mints…

1. Thin Mints can, and should be, thrown in the freezer.

2. Thin Mints come in single serving “sleeves.”- That means only two servings per box.

3. Thin Mints are meant to be shared only with people that would take a bullet for you.

Some people will make a case for sharing Thin Mints on a blind date or early in a relationship (to help up the “first impression” ante). I think this is a BIG mistake. There is just no level of commitment worthy of sharing Thin Mints that early in the relationship. You are better off sharing double stuff Oreo’s or any below par Keebler cookie.

Nope, Thin Mints should replace Tin/Aluminum as the 10-year anniversary gift (yes, I looked that up). Hallmark could even have a card for it…

Roses are Red

Violets are Blue

It is our 10-year anniversary

So-you-can-have-a-couple-Thin-Mints-provided-we-have-taken-the-overall-stock-in-mind-so-that-we-can-make-it-till-the-following-year-that-the-cookies-go-on-sale-and-we-can-replenish-the-stockpile.

I am still working on the last line, so I don’t expect Hallmark to call me anytime soon.

    Your Thin Mint Rules
    1. Yes, they should go in the freezer, with at least two servings out and ready to go.
    2. I disagree with your serving sizes…By the Standard Mookified Scale, 1 box is one serving. Anything that comes in a container, no matter how it is broken down and separated inside that container means nothing. The container is the serving size (yes even costco boxes). Its like the sad illustation on soda bbottles that said a 20 oz bottle contained 2.5 servings….WRONG!
    3. Clearly you are right here, Sir!

As for the poem, I LOVE the last line

Agreed. I thought I was the only one who put thin mints in the freezer.
