Although not in the US, this may become relevant to the US in the near future.
President Hugo Chaves has given Techint until the end of June to hand over Venezuela’s largest steelmaker – Ternium-Sidor.
What seems to be according to the playbook for the last 18 months, the Venezuelan state has taken over foreign-controlled companies including telecoms, gas, oil, and electricity.
This “take over” mentality is one that we really need to keep on our radar. I don’t have an issue with Venezuela becoming more self-sufficient (which is something we need to do) – but they are doing it by “force” if you will.
Many US companies are outsourcing our interests…what happens when the music stops and there are no more chairs?

You need to watch the man, not just the country!
