The IRS is getting swamped with phone calls from people looking for their stimulus checks. It seems a whole lot of people adjusted their monthly spending in preparation of getting the money by June at the latest.
The government began sending payments out April 28th. So far, about 85.2 million payments have been distributed – that leaves about 30 million more to go out!
Of course, nothing is perfect and about 1500 checks were direct deposited into the wrong accounts (I can attest none of them went to my account).
Sad thing is, too many people are relying on the money. With gas and groceries as high as they have ever been, more and more people are having trouble getting by. I highly suspect it is going to get a lot worse.

I for one don’t want the government solving anything. The way they solve it is to take there grubby little paws out of the process. Capitalism and the free market economy works when the government stays out of it.
I worry that it will take another BIG depression in order to get the American people to stop living beyond their means. Scary.
I take it the new 3G iPhone coming out on July 11th won’t set everything (the economy) right?!

Why are people being led to believe that everyone will get a stimulus check? This not true and in the fine PRINT ,it says “your income must be $3,000.00 to receive a check”.This means a whole lot of people who really needs this money will not get it.How is this helping everyone?The rich still gets richer…………duh!This plan is stupid ,just like our leaders who thought this up.
Good point Elizabeth. There certainly are plenty of people thinking they are getting a check that will not be!
