I tend to let the readers at The Slow Bleed hash out their political candidates at other sites. Not that I don’t have opinions in either case, I just continue to look for glimpses of sound logic and long-term thinking (sometimes that takes awhile).
The following is a commercial for the Obama campaign.
I have to say, I respect the fact he took the hard, not a quick-fix, decision in saying a summer gas-tax cut will not solve our problems – it won’t.
What we need is something more substantial that will help everyone beyond the next election.

Yeah, Obama spoke of common sense as opposed to the pandering from the business as usual candidates. But don’t take my word for it. I’m biased. I want Obama to win because I want a future filled with hope for things I believe are important. You know, lefty radical stuff like homeownership, being able to retire one day, getting my kids through college, maybe take a vacation every couple of years; that kind of stuff. Nice site.
Wow Chris, you are swinging for the fence. That kind of radical thinking may lead to a “normal” life!
Good observation….the gas tax holiday was nothing but pandering and typical Washington BS. My first question was, will the oil companies not raise the price during this time? Of course they will! It is about the profit, nit what is best for the working people.
