Citigroup Grounds New Corporate Jet

If common sense doesn’t work, why not try some old fashioned bullying? To date, Citigroup has received $45 billion in bailout money. So you would think the company would be making every cut they can to survive and use the money wisely – too bad it takes a call out from the President of the U.S. to get you to start thinking correctly.

Obama’s administration officials called Citigroup yesterday and said that perhaps the plans for its new $50 million corporate jet should be placed on hold.

The president “doesn’t believe that’s the best use of money at this point.”

Yea, I would say corporate jets, executive retreats, and remodeling corner offices is not the best use of taxpayer money right now!

Now just wait a minute…..what do you mean adding to your digs and toys isnt a good use of someone else’s money….how else do you inspire confidence in the shareholders portfolios?? Maybe these things are designed to make people believe things are better and shift the stock into a major buy!!

Oh wait…sorry, common sense had stepped out. Thank God he only went to check the mail and came back…I was lost without him!

Especially when your putting thousands of your employees OUT OF A JOB!

I saw this earlier in the week, on CNN, and boy did they have a field day with it; and busy as I was I HAD to blog on it. I’m sure many of did and that help push the call from the prez.

These people all need a strong clue x 4 upside their heads at the hands of those they’re screwing.
