Ok, Mr. Phelps, let’s put this one in the “bazaar-advancements-in-technology” category.
Hoshino, a company based in Hong Kong, released what is considered the first “green-friendly” biodegradable USB disk. The USB keys are corn-based and break down over time.
I can’t say I noticed a ton of USB disks littering the sidewalks or landfills but who knows. Perhaps it is a step in the right direction in the creation of technological products that are biodegradable given the disposable nature of our society today.

I, personally, feel that we as a people have over used the terms, Bio-degradable and green friendly. Like yourself, I have yet to see a thrown away USB drive. Where or what will be the end to all of these “Green Friendly,” Bio-Degradable.”

Thanks for the comments Mervi. I have to agree, “Green Friendly” needs to be put on items that are filling the landfills, not stuff that never makes it there.
