So what is the hottest home-based hosted product party since Tupperware?
Cookie Exchange? Candle-Making? Home-based Wine-Making? Nope…
Gold Parties!
The non-cryptic name is just that. It is your opportunity to bring your spare gold to the hosts’ house and exchange for cash.
If you are like me, you have probably been wandering around your house practically on a daily basis saying, “what am I going to do with all this gold?” or “I just wish the kids would not leave their gold laying around.”
Well no more. Pack up the car full of your annoying extra gold and bring it to your next neighborhood gold party where someone will be there to take it off your hands - for a price of course.
With gold at an all-time high, the act of melting down anything from old Franklin Mint collectibles to gold filings may be here for a while.
I can’t say I have been to one and I don’t know if they are fun or if the people attending would feel uncomfortable handing over some family heirloom in front of friends.
Maybe it would be more fun if you actually got to melt down the gold right then and there. I can see people taking in their ex’s gold wedding band* and dancing around the fire.
*WARNING: Ex should be removed from the ring first.
ROFL over that last line! Keep up the great blog!
