Hollywood May Have to Scale Back

Even Hollywood is not recession proof and soon we won’t have as many movie choices.

Last year there were 747 movies released in the US – an average of about two per day. But now the money to make these films is getting tight.

Deutsche Bank had been working on a $450 million dollar deal with Paramount Pictures but the bank closed its film financing division.

Considering most of the movies out there are not ones I would go to see I am not sure this is really going to hit me that hard.

I remember when cable first came out and I was going to be exposed to “hundreds of channels.” We all thought we would have more program options – what we got were more of the same.
