I support the Occupy commitment and enthusiasm, especially because I'm part of the 99% and have a great many grievances (as do many!). I do think that the government, and the laws are where the focus should be, because if there is a problem with politicians being "bought" by corporations, and money playing into whether laws pass or fail, how does that happen? Get to the root of those problems and fix 'em for starters. Laws and government needs changing and restructuring to better protect people. I definitely do not think there is an easy answer, but slow progress is always possible if people demand it.

Possibly. They are not organized in any fashion to articulate their point (other than corporations suck). Of course corporations operate under whatever laws and tax structures are put in front of them. The politicians are laughing their asses off right now at the distraction away from them.

I love the passion, but they need to direct it towards something with a possible outcome. Saying corporations are evil makes me wonder where they plan on finding work someday. Corporation employ people. People need to work. If they have an issue with how much money a corporation makes (ie: free enterprise) than we need to move towards a complete dictatorship (with all money and profits going to the government). Doesn't sound like a "free" society to me.

I'm with you man. I noticed the guys interviewed in Oakland Ca. are occupying to stop gang injunctions. And guess what? Berkeley allows protest in front of the Marine Corps Recruiting station but won't allow the campus to be occupied.

I agree with you completely.

I don't understand why people get so excited, threaten to leave for yet another social site that will likely do the same thing in the long run.

The site is owned and they let us use it for FREE. People don't understand ownership. If I owned such a site, I would love feedback, good and bad, but ultimately the decision is mine. If my decisions were bad, I guess a mass exodus would be expected. So leave. Why rant and rave and think that will help?

Anyway, I LOVE to be able to learn about my friends from around the world in one place. I just accept the changes.

I would like to just say this is all politics. These stories of china owning america one day are very far fetched because why china's economy is so successful right now is because american companys built factories over there so they could get their products processed for alot cheaper or even free so they would not have to follow any guidelines like here in the united states it is all about the rich becoming more rich and america spreading its wealth and freedom first germany was a toy maker right then japan and taiwan now china and india and as soon as libya and iraq are all peaceful all your plastics will come from the middle east and north africa its all about global unity why do think at one point in time everything we had was made in america then all of a sudden japan came into the picture its because the rich factory owners wanted to make more and spend less do you actually think that the chinese own the factories if you do your blind if you think that the chinese economy is actually because of china your blind america made it happen it can just as easily take it away
