Ok, the video isn’t great (matter of fact, not sure how long YouTube will keep it around). But the song, Underwear Goes Inside The Pants, is great. RIP Greg…you were one great comedian!
Google Loses Sunrise Florida? Who Should be Lost?
How do you lose a large city in Florida and no one notices for months? Then again, does anyone really care?
Due to a “glitch,” Google maps simply “lost” Sunrise, FL for a period of several months. Hey, it is not a BIG city although it is home to 90,000 people, one of the nation’s biggest malls, a National Hockey League team and, the city’s mayor boasts, the first IKEA store in the state.
If you tried to look up Sunrise, FL you ended up with Sarasota, FL. Course Sarasota is about 200 miles away – so you might be a bit late for your dinner reservation.
No one is cutting Google a break for the mistake. Local business are complaining they lost revenue because no one could find them. The mayor even sent Google a map of Sunrise, FL.
I think Google should be given a bit of slack. I mean really, they get a LOT of places right (I am hoping this comment may help me keep my site from being banned on Google now that I think of it).
In any case, I think we should look at cities Google is free to “forget” without much complaint from me… [Read more...]
Celebrity Reader #23? Christopher Walken?
I am always amazed who drops by TheSlowBleed.com. Then again, I am always amazed who actually doesn’t.
Sorry, The Slow Bleed Website is Not Available in 3D.
Some may say I am missing the biggest moneymaking trend in 2010. Converting my already popular The Slow Bleed blog into a 3D goldmine.
Hey, it is working for just about EVERY movie this summer. The funny part is that converting a movie into 3D doesn’t actually make it better. Are you listening to me Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D and Jackass 3D?
It is bad enough that now we are subjected to bad acting or cheesy special effects even closer to us, but, for some, the headaches after the film are real.
Sorry guys, 3D is not groundbreaking either. Many consider the “golden era” of 3D to be around 1953 (House of Wax comes to mind). Ok, if you missed the early round, you might consider your golden era to be around the 80’s (Jaws, Amityville, etc).
Nope, 3D didn’t really help bad movies then and it won’t help them now.
Course, this trend is far from over. Here is the list of 3D masterpieces still to come [Be sure to list your favorite in the comment section or, tell me what movie you would LIKE to see in 3D]…

Dear Monday Quote #181
Dear Monday, how bad of a day must you have been when I realize it is actually Tuesday?
9/11, Quran Burning, and Do They Still Drown Witches?
First off, it is the anniversary of 9/11. A day every American will (or should) remember for a very long time. For a short time after 9/11 there was a sense of unity.
Remember all the American Flags that could be seen?
Remember the President in front of smoldering ashes with a bullhorn proclaiming our resilience?
Remember logging on to Google Maps to find Afghanistan and “meet” our new-to-us enemy (despite most of the hijackers were Saudi)?
What happened?
It didn’t take long for what we wanted to happen actually happen – we returned to our normal lives, not really learning from the experience.
The flags, for the most part, have disappeared. The “War on Terror” has become an annoyance for some that they only see as they channel surf their way to Reality Housewives or American Idol.
All that would be ok if we actually learned and grew as individuals and a country.
Years later we have the possibility of a mosque being built near ground zero and some idiot wanting to burn copies of the Quran to further his own agenda (despite endangering our troops). [That appears to be on hold as I write this]
I suppose if we are going to step back to book burning we should look into drowning witches, not allowing women to vote, and possibly, segregating schools.
But why stop there?
Let’s go back to outdoor plumbing, traveling by horseback (I realize some readers my enjoy that part), and picking our spouses by attacking a nearby village.
Never Forget 9/11 but more importantly never forget to learn from it.
