Texas Woman Told to Remove ‘Offensive’ American Flag From Office

womenflagYet another ‘Offensive’ flag story…

Debbie McLucas comes from a patriotic family – her husband and both of her sons served in the U.S. military, and her daughter is currently deployed to Iraq on her second tour of duty as a combat medic.

So when McLucas arrived at work at a Texas hospital last Friday, she was stunned to be told that the Stars and Stripes she had hung in her office in advance of Memorial Day were offensive, and that the flag had been removed.

Wal-Mart Needs to Stop Censorship

greenday285Green Day may have one of the most popular CD’s in the country (21st Century Breakdown) but you wouldn’t know it if you walked through the music section of Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart was unhappy that Green Day would not censor some of their music for Wal-Mart stores. Never mind the fact most stores now publish warnings in the event some of the content may contain adult language.

It is up to the musicians or label to decide whether they want more than one version out there for distribution. Typically this process is reserved for radio tracks. [Read more...]

Republican’s Re-Group…

pollrMichael Steele announced yesterday that “The Republican Party Turns a Corner.”

Steller observation Michael, maybe some earlier reading of the polls would have clued you in a little sooner.

No question the populatiry of the Republican’s has gone down over the years. Matter of fact, the party has dropped roughly 10% since 2001 alone.

Before anyone gets too far in any demographics arguments, the loss is in every major demographic subgroup.

Not to worry though, Republicans have a plan…

With that said, I think private schools may become the only real option for kids to excel in the future. Not because of the quality of teachers, dress codes, or morning affirmations. No, I think private schools will win because of lack of phones and ipods.

I have always been aware kids take ipods and phones to school. Sure, one is for “safety” and the other, well, that is in case you get bored (you decide which is which).

Anyway, the teachers in the beginning confiscated items left and right. If an iPod or phone was in view, it was taken away, disappearing into a drawer that used to be filled with firecrackers and back issues of Playboy. [Read more...]

The Welfare Office – a Joke

angrybagBefore everyone gets up in arms and starts sending flaming emails to me, this is a joke.

Yea, it may not be politically correct (like my site ever is), yes it has been around for awhile, and yes, I probably shouldn’t post it. Well, it is my site and every time I hear it I still laugh. So, here you go… [Read more...]
