*I really hate asterisks. They are seriously getting abused. I am not really sure who started them. I suspect it was someone who, back when we had actual typewriters, made a mistake and left something out in the middle of the page.
This entrepreneurial person probably thought, “crud, now what am I going to do? I don’t want to re-type the whole page and my deadline is only minutes away!” Ta da! The asterisk enters the picture. Just draw in a little star looking symbol at the end of the word and than throw in the forgotten words at the bottom of the page. Genius! Now the AIG scandal is getting out of hand. Yesterday Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley suggested AIG executives should take a Japanese approach toward accepting responsibility for AIG’s collapse by resigning or killing themselves.
First off, you only need to go back and read my past AIG articles to know I was against giving them bailout money to begin with. I also stated at each disbursement that it wouldn’t be the last. I listen to a lot of music and often I am intrigued by the lyrics. Every once in awhile a song hits you by surprise. Don’t worry, I am not sharing a song that deals with my childhood or preaches to you to give up driving your car – this is The Slow Bleed after all. No, I heard this song this morning at the gym. The lyrics struck me as a good description of large populaces view how life is (or should be). Sad, but true.
