Who is “Joe the Plumber?”

October 16, 2008 by Godfather

If you tuned in midstream during the final Presidential debate you might have thought McCain and Obama were trading jabs about the Gambino crime family from the Soprano’s. “Joe the Plumber” was mentioned 11 times. Nine times by McCain and two by Obama.

“Joe the Plumber” apparently replaced “Joe Beer Can” in the last several days. Joe the Plumber became representational of small business. Joe Beer Can (aka Joe Six Pack) is usually associated with the in the trenches, paycheck-to-paycheck worker. And yes, Joe the Plumber is a real person Obama met in the town of Holland, Ohio (no, that is not really a picture of him).

With only a few weeks remaining I expect to be introduced to a whole new cast…

Cindy the under-aged Pregnant Teen

Bill the 45-year-old Wal-Mart Greeter

Cathy the eBay Queen

Billy No Car

Rachael the Coupon Diva

John the Out-of-Work-for-a-Year Dad

Clifton the CEO without a Golden Parachute

Anyone you want to add?

The problem I found with this occupation Jay, is I cant figure out how to lift the scoop pan up after I’ve pushed myself into it…and tying the bag off once I get inside…tough!!!
